What is Piezo Buzzer,Piezo audio indicator ?

The heart of piezo buzzers are a piezoelectric ceramic plate. Piezoelectric ceramics generate electricity when they experience mechanical force and, more important to a buzzer’s function, create force when exposed to an electric field. When the ceramic experiences an alternating voltage, the plate extends and shrinks. It is glued to a fixed metal plate so these forces cause the ceramic to flex, creating the buzzing sound.

What is magnetic buzzer ? Magnetic buzzer HCM1212X ,HCM1205X

Magnetic buzzers use a coil wrapped around a pole. A metal plate is mounted a short distance from one end of the pole. The coil creates a magnetic field in the pole which attracts the plate, but since the plate is fixed the center flexes towards the pole. As the electrical signal varies, the magnetic field varies and the plate vibrates.

Piezo buzzer Vs. Magnetic Buzzers

Buzzers are a simple and inexpensive way to allow your device to make simple sounds ranging from a click when a key is pressed to a warning tone when readings fall outside of safe ranges. We offer two technologies, piezo and magnetic buzzers, and
it’s important to understand the benefits of each before deciding on the right choice for your device.
How They Work
The heart of piezo buzzers are a piezoelectric ceramic plate.
Which Is Better?
The preferred solution depends on your device’s needs. Piezo buzzers can operate at much higher voltages than magnetic buzzers can. For the same voltage piezo devices use less current. Finally, piezo buzzers put out higher sound pressure than magnetic buzzers. However magnetic buzzers have one big advantage important to manufacturers: size.
Magnetic buzzers have a much smaller footprint than equivalent piezo buzzers. This is a critical feature in mobile devices. Consumers demand smaller and smaller phones, tablets, and other electronics and many modern devices simply can’t spare the room a piezo buzzer needs. A microwave oven might work fine with a piezo buzzer but a device meant to go into a pocket is going to need a magnetic buzzer.
